Blood and Oil
Jack’s draw is understandable. In the face of oblivion, Nihilism is always an option. And once you’ve reached there, hedonism is only the logical next step. With the abandonment of the one Kindred who might have been powerful enough to do anything, Jack has a liberating message: lets enjoy what we have left. Constantly flirting with the edge of the masquerade, Jack’s ‘court’ has been terrorizing mortals and Kindred alike for months, indulging in cruelty whenever the city is unable to provide them with excess. If he ever truly takes the throne, he has refused to take an official end of the masquerade off the table, either as a bargaining chip with the Invictus, or just for the hell of it.
