Blood and Oil
“It was not always like this, da? They used to be very much rare, wolves in the herd. But now, even the masquerade can not protecting us. They are fighting back. Maybe we finally get what coming to us, eh?”
Where do they come from? What makes a Hunter pull himself up from the herd and devote his life to killing all the things they were never meant to know existed? Kindred everywhere have asked themselves this question for centuries, but the denizens of the Motor City think they’ve found the answer. Nothing but desperation could drive men to forsake their happy illusions and strike back against the dark. Unfortunately for the dark, desperation is in no short supply in Detroit, and even failed attempts at supernatural heroism are more satisfying than just watching your city die.
Not much is known about the Helsings in Detroit, for as common as they are. The Kindred know they organize into several different factions, but hunters who can’t keep secrets don’t usually live long enough to learn them. There have been incident reports of former UAW work crews, all laid off together, devoting themselves to the hunt full time, alongside kids from Wayne State trying to get Vampires to show up on camera. The good news is that they appear as factionalized as the Kindred, with the clearest enmity between the Greeks and an unknown group operating out of Dearborn. Just do your best to not get in between them.
